The Blackstone Valley Community Chorus (BVCC) was formed in 2004 with sixty singers from five towns throughout the valley. The BVCC attracts singers of varied abilities and musical backgrounds, united through their love of music. Audiences at annual spring and fall concerts are treated to a wide variety of a cappella and accompanied music. BVCC singers are continually challenged and encouraged to grow, both as a musical group and as individual performers.
In addition to its fall and spring concerts, each season the chorus performs at many area events, such as Holiday First Night and Chain of Lights celebrations, Harvest Festivals, Fourth of July and Memorial Day gatherings and other special events. We sing for local organizations, including historical societies and women's clubs. We've also appeared at the Bradley Playhouse in Putnam, CT, the Hanover Theater in Worcester, MA, and the Worcester Art Museum.
Sponsored in part by grants from the Cultural Councils of Millville, Northbridge, Douglas and Uxbridge, local agencies supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
